June Bloom Glassblowing

We found out about Sunshine Lavender Farm’s June Bloom event — one of only three weekends a year that the farm is open for visitors — through Honeygirl Meadery. Brendan and I love taking crafts classes, so we signed up right away when we saw they had a glassblowing workshop.

Only an hour away, just past Hillsborough, we spent the day eating lavender-flavored goodies, tasting lavender-flavored meads, walking around smelling all of the heavenly lavender in full bloom, and finally working with Georgie and Angie to make our own glass hummingbird feeders. Brendan’s ended up looking like a miniature globe, and I love the way the orange pops and almost sparkles on mine!
